According to Aldous Huxley, “There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that’s your own self.” I couldn’t agree more with his quotation. Improving ourselves helps us unlock our better versions. I think everyone would agree when I say that to be better is what we are all working hard for. When we strive to better ourselves, we are able to explore our potentials and become more confident of who we are.

Our confidence affects how we spend our lives. It can make or break us! The way we walk, talk and treat people is a reflection of how we feel about ourselves. Confidence transcends inner and outer beauty. When we already feel pretty amazing inside, it isn’t too much to invest in the frontage of our charm. Including our hair in our daily self-care can influence how we carry ourselves. Our hair (our crown and glory) not only adds up to our total package but serves as a symbol of our self-love, a beauty that isn’t superficial.

One thing I realized is that life can never be perfect, but we can make it perfectly amazing by doing our best to take care most especially of ourselves. When I do my hair I view it as a work of art— me truly working on myself and seeing the result of the efforts I put in. Whenever I wake up, my crown may be a little messed up or really messy haha. But when I pick up my hair products, I see them as tools to create a masterpiece. Every day the goal is to tame, create and cultivate healthy hair. We shall ask ourselves daily then: what do you see when you look in the mirror?

Our hair is our crowning glory, and we must invest in it. Healthy hair helps us not just to look good but to feel good too. If you really think about it, feeling good about yourself is priceless. For me, investing in my hair is like investing in my inner beauty and the bonus is having fabulous hair.  Good hair care practices can promote hair health. On the flip side, poor hair care practices can facilitate hair loss and no one wants that for sure! Become more conscious of how you treat your hair. If you are still using chemical-based products, I think it’s now the time to switch back to the natural way of nourishing your hair. Go back to our roots (hair roots that is), the foundation for shining, healthy and steady growing hair.

Ladies, it’s time to prioritize your hair with natural care! Remember self-care is never selfish!
